Rutstroemia alni?
Juuso Äikäs, 05-11-2020 15:53
Previously I've thought that a brown cup like this growing on a branch is R. firma. However, this one's spores seem to be too wide for that species.

This was growing on a well-decayed piece of branch of a decidous tree. The place was dominated by Alnus incana, so there's a good chance that is the host. I don't unfortunetely have the sample anymore.

R. alni seems to me like a promising candidate.

Spore measurements:

(16.8) 17.8 - 20.1 (20.2) × (8.1) 8.3 - 8.79 (8.8) µm
Q = (2.1) 2.13 - 2.3 (2.4) ; N = 10
Me = 18.6 × 8.5 µm ; Qe = 2.2
