Dear friendsCan you help me to find the descriptions of Tapesia cinerella and Tapesia (= Trichopeziza) fuscohyalina species? At least second is available at Remler P. (1979) Ascomyceten auf Ericaceen in den Ostalpen // Biblioth. Mycol. 68:215 ?
I have unknown Tapesia species from Rhododendron kotschyi dead twigs from Ukrainian highlands
Asci 52-64 x 7,5-9
Ascospores 11,8-13,4 x 2,2
Grateful before,
Alex

Re : Tapesia from Rhododendron
Dear Alex,
I think I encountered the same species on Calluna vulgaris. Unfortunately, my specimen wasn't quite mature so the ascospore measurements of 12.2–15.3 x 1.9–2.3 µm must be taken with a grain of salt. My best guess would also be Tapesia fuscohyalina although it is described with somewhat wider and shorter ascospores.
Best wishes,
Gernot
