I am looking for confirmation or opinions about this collection from Bosnia&Herzegovina.
Substrate is Andricus quercuscalicis galls (Quercus robur).
Short description
Medullary exc. textura intricata, ectal exc. textura globosa ending with "tufts" of elongated cells;
Spores (8,2)9.6(11) x 3.9(4,4) µm, with sheath, uninucleate.
Asci 114.5 x 8.5 µm, IKI +, croziers +
Paraphyses with long vacuoles.
Please see attached files for more details.
(I am aware of the recent topic by Victorie Halasu about a fungus growing on Andricus quercuscalicis galls and read the article Zotto atttached)
Thank you

questions whether this is distinct from Ciboria americana. I cannot answer this and fear only DNA will help us.
Do you have a scale for your ascus photos in order to measure the living asci?
