Sclerotiniaceae on (probably) Pistacia-leaves in the Algarve (Portugal)

I found only three apothecia. First I thought of Ciboria brunneorufa that was shown here shortly before. When I took the microscope I was reminded of Rutstroemia sydowiana - and indeed Quercus ilex-leaves are together with Pistacia (u.a.) in the litter. But the form of the Rutstroemia sydowiana-spores does not fit fully (?).

Hi Lothar

maybe the ectal excipulum at lower flanks would help, is there a rough hypoid outer layer, any gelatinization etc.

Hallo Zotto,

thanks a lot for your answer.

I unfortunately made no section and have already dried the few material. @gelatinisation: to prove if it is a Poculum? Are you also reminded of Rutstroemia (Poculum) sydowiana?

Best regards from Portugal from Lothar

It is only to clarify whether it belongs in Rutstroemia. Gel or not gel plays no role for the genus but rather for the species. Surely it is not sydowiana. R. coracina has a spore size like this but is multiguttulate, as is "cistophila", "daphneicola" and "rosmarinifolia".

Hmmm.

o.k. - thank you. Sounds like something that is not so easy to answer. A section throught one of the two left dried apothecia will be something I will try at home ... -

but maybe I find this again in the next two weeks.
