black stromatic fungus on dead oak twig
Stoykov Dimitar, 18-10-2023 14:56
Stoykov DimitarHallo,

I have collected an interesting stromatic fungus, with brownish 1-celled ellipsoid spores, on oak twig in Bulgaria. If cross sectioned the black structures - asci were not observed. I would be grateful of  helping suggestions. It remaind me of Anthostoma, but the gross morphology does not seem to fit, and the host is not Carpinus. The host branch holds also black stroma of Diatrype stigma on the one side of a branch.
Details are in document file.
Suggestions are warmly welcome,

Regards,

Dimitar
