Hello everybody,
on decayed hardwood e.g. Quercus or Ulmus lying in a little pond I found these tiny pins of about 1-1,5mm size with a "brushhead". Unfortunately I could not obtain spores/conidia nor find reproducitve cells. Maybe someone has an idea?Â
Thank you very much,Â
Ingo

Re : unknown semi-aquatic objects
I think it's rootlet tips, I have seen many before, and I happened to think it was some synnemata.

Bon jours Francçois,
good idea, I would want to believe it if the wood was not decomposed - look e.g. at picture 2:
the objects grow not only from the bark but also from the heartwood.
I will try to get a cross section of the whole object.
