Good evening, my friend gave me a collection of this interesting ascomycete. Is it possible to conclude it as Spooneromyces laeticolor?
Apothecia red, irregularly shaped, sessile, the outer surface somewhat hairy. Grew on the ground (I can see there Picea abies needles).
Now (dried) it is yellow and measures 8 - 12 mm in diameter.
Asci cylindric, 8-spored, uniseriate, no reaction in Lugol.
Ascospores 17,5 - 21 x 9,5 - 10,5 micrometer (in water, without ornamentation), with warts (which are longer on the poles), rarely somewhat reticulate, 2 small guttules near poles.
Paraphyses 3,5 micrometer broad, apex broader - about 7 micrometer, hyaline.
Hairs pale brown, up to 315 x 22 micrometer, walls 1-2 micrometer, septate (but the density of septation seems to be less dense then in the internet pictures).
Czech republic, Giant Mountains, 15th October 2013.
Thanks a lot, Zuzana
