Bonsoir Johan,
Nice collection !
In the collections we studied with Zuzana Egertova (see paper in Ascomycete.org 2016) the supposed overmatured spores of B. hypnorum never got this regular 7-septate pattern .
But the spore size you give here are nearly twice the normal size, even for B. pluriseptata. The ascus in your pictures look dead .
Are all apothecia in the same state ?
Amitiés. Michel
Do you have a scale for your second photo? I presume the middle spore measures around 50 x 8 µm.
So we agree
I once received a collection from Finland by Marja Pennanen but it was in such a poor state that I could not document it properly neither could we have it sequenced. Amazingly, it was also on the same site than her collections of B. hypnorum.
I do not know of any sequence for this species (unless a late one ?) and it would be interesting to compare it with B. hypnorum.
I propose to receive an exsic if you have enough .
