Nemania with spores with no germ slit

Perithecial mounds inconspicuous and ostioles papillate.
Enrique

Re : Nemania with spores with no germ slit
Hola Enrique,
I think you are indeed dealing with N. colliculosa. The germ slit is a bit more conspicuous than in N. serpens but it is most often difficult to make out. Try to make a very thin slide mounted in 10% KOH and if you are fortunate you will get it.
Good luck!
Jacques

Re : Nemania with spores with no germ slit
Thank you ,Jacques. I am not a man of luck because no results in KOH!
Is it Nemania colliculosa a good seggregate species actually?

Re : Nemania with spores with no germ slit

Re : Nemania with spores with no germ slit
as pointed out by Alain the stromata of N. colliculosa are indeed less carbonaceous than those of N. serpens but this is a matter of more or less, sometimes difficult to evaluate unless you have both species at hand for comparison. Maybe it will help Enrique....
