ascospores are 1- to 3-septate, approximately 13.6–16.8 x 2.9–3.5 µm and light grey-brown. Asci look bitunicate.

You didn't describe the fungus. Are these shown pseudostroma multiperithecial ?
Microscopical features match with Phaeosphaeria but nothing is sure.

Thank you, Alain. Yes, they are multiperithecial and grow abundantly on the stem. Most are old, however, which is why I also considered the option that this might be a species growing within old stromata, like Pseudotrichia minor. But that didn't get me far either.
