apparent associated anamorph forming small, dark, pulvinate growths at the base of apothecia (micrographs forthcoming).
no spores observed outside of asci. dodgy in-ascus spore measurements:

12.3 - 14.7 × 4.2 - 5.5 µm
Q = (2.3) 2.32 - 2.9 ; N = 5
Me = 13.5 × 5.1 µm ; Qe = 2.6

Full genetic match! But I was unaware of septate ascospores in this species, and the spore size is extremely larger. Dennis wrote 5 x 1 µm, I measured *5.5-7.5(10.5) x 1.5-1.7 µm (HB 9232).

What is the length of the scale in the spore photo?

all scale bar lengths are given in the legend/caption field of the uploaded photos.

Ah - when downloading such a photo the caption disappears. Spore size confirmed. Clearly there must be a mistake, these micros do not belong to the sequenced specimen. You can compare here: https://www.inaturalist.org/observations/172752012, the spores were here only *4-5x0.6-0.8um.

Thank you for your continued feedback, Zotto.  Based solely on the microscopy and macro photos, what would you call this collection?

I suspect the macro and micro do not belong together :-( The sequence fits well the macro.

The two photos of asci and spores belong to the Rodwayella sessilis collection pictured earlier.
