As far as I know, Häffner's herbarium was always private. It was not accessible to the public until his death. Years ago, when Mr. Häffner was still alive, I tried to borrow some specimens from him. That was not possible.
I don't know where the herbarium ended up after his death. Perhaps it did not end up in a public collection. Maybe someone from the Süddeutsche Pilzrundschau knows more, where Häffner published his last articles: pilzrundschau@yahoo.com
