Lasiobolus macrotrichus?
Henri Koskinen, 24-04-2025 15:03
Hello, I collected this Lasiobolus 22.04. near Helsinki growing on roe deer dung. Spores are 21-24 x 10-12, asci cylindrical, hairs up to 0.65 mm, many between 0.5 - 0.6 mm. Key by Bezerra&Kimbrough (1974) takes me to Lasiobolus macrotrichus, I don't know if there is a newer key available. Would you agree with macrotrichus. Thank you.

Re : Ascobolus macrotrichus?
Hi, L. macrotrichus has narrower spores, longer hair and is also not so yellow. It's Lasiobolus papillatus, the last picture.

Peter.
