Re : Orbilia
Saludos Javier!
the pics are a bit small but I agree. Genetically a diverse species but without DNA I see no possibility for another name.

Re : Orbilia
Is O. eucalypti so diverse that also this one would fit in? The spores are globose 2.9-3.5 × 2.6-3.3 µm (in asci in water). The dots I thought to be SBs seem to survive also in ammoniacal CR, so I suppose they are LBs. The asci are 37-49 × 6.3-8.3 µm.
They were growing on deteriorated bark of a branch of Salix pentandra half a meter above the snow cover.

Re : Orbilia
No no Stefan, this is Helicogonium orbiliarum, nicely documented with bifurcate ascus bases. Only indistinctly you can see starting conidial formation inside the only living ascus on your pics. The host Orbilia could be O. aurantiorubra? Perhaps you can find uninfected apothecia?
Is this a recent find? I would like to put a date to it.

Re : Orbilia
Thank you, that is a much better match! I tried to find asci belonging to the Orbilia but in vain. It was collected a couple of days ago, on the 12th of March. The location is here:
