Xylariaceae (?) from Portugal
Lothar Krieglsteiner,

.. Algarve, Foia near Monchique, on wood of (?) Castanea. I first thought of a Biscogniauxia, but was a bit flubbergasted by the spores. They are hyaline at first, but partly become black in one of the two cells, they have a germ slit and the ascus porus reacts brightly blue in Melzer. The spores I measured about !3-18 (20)/7-8 µm. They are hyaline first (fotos in Melzers reagent), but some get dark at the larger cell alter. But most spores are obviously dispersed in hyaline state as can be seen by the light tendrils leaving the perithecia.I am not sure if I saw a similar fungus on ascofrance not too long ago, but I cannot manage to find it again.
Who can help?
Yours, Lothar

Hello Björn,
thank you very much! I did not know that there is a Biscogniauxia species with such spores. Great!
