Hello all.
I found two collections of this genre yesterday. The first grew on dead shoots Reynoutria japonica. A second group of fruiting bodies found on Helianthus tuberosus. There are small differences between them in the content of drops in the spores but I suspect it is the same species.
The first thought is Cyathicula. The size of the spores matches C. cyathoidea but as you can see the other features are not.
I was also thinking about Hymenoscyphus repandus, which I do not know yet, but it seems to me that the characteristics do not suit him too?
greetings
Mirek

Re : Problematic yellow asco?
Hi Mirek
does your 7th pic show a blue reaction of the excipulum?
Not sure if the two are the same as the paraphysis contents and curvature differ.
I think a Hyaloscyphaceae s.l.

Hi Zotto
Yes, the blue excipulum reaction is seen in the picture.
The reaction occurred only in one fruiting body. Also, I see several differences between them although the macroscopic features are identical.
I have no idea.

Re : Problematic yellow asco?
The currved paraphyses of the first remind me a bit of Loricella in my Calloriaceae folder. I cannot clearly see the margin for any hairs.
A blue reaction occurs e.g. in Cistella grevillei or Psilachnum lanceolatoparaphysatum, but all these are probably outruled.

Re : Problematic yellow asco?
The problem is that I haven't seen the hair either. Neither in one nor in the other collection.
Thank you, Zotto.
I will search in the catalogs you suggest.
