Hello,I need help with a pale terrestric Pseudombrophila. It grew on soil on a meadow (I haven't seen any dung around - if any, it could be by mice or earthworms). What do you think?
Apothecia 1.5-2.5 mm diam. with raised, entire, light purplish brown margin. Asci 8-spored. Spores ellipsoid, smooth, (15.9) 16-17.6 × (8.6) 9-10 (10.2) um. Paraphyses not inflated, often with thinner finger-like outgrowths on apex, frequently branched at the topmost septum, the top covered with some brownish pigment. Hairs covered with lumps of yellowish brown amorphous pigment.
Microscopic characters look like P. cervaria, there is even a pale P. cervaria here: http://ascofrance.com/search_forum/22650 , but this grew on soil and has wider spores. The spores fit better P. subalpina, but that one also grows also on dung and has crenulate margin and reddish brown disc. Velenovsky's terrestric Humaria intermedia in orig. sense (which is a Pseudombrophila accord. to Svrcek) is also similar, but the species is only known from type collection. What do you think?
Thank you in advance.
Viktorie
