In my opinion it's a typical Geoglossum fallax of acid soils, with very slowly ripening brown spores, often maximum 7-septate and with a mass of death hyaline spores.

happy to read this. I was wondering why this was thought to be Glutinoglossum (glutinosus: viscid, slimy). The foto clearly shows a dry fungus, and the squamules on the stem fit well with fallax :-)
