asco sur Carpinus

Bonsoir.

Je cherche l'inspiration avec cette espèce trouvée sur Carpinus décortiqué au sol.

Asques issus de crochets mesurant 40-50x4-5um  IKI-

Spores 4,6-5,4x1,3-2um  Q=2,6-4 et N=15

Paraphyses cylindriques mesurant 49-53x1,5-2,3um

Avez-vous une idée pour démarrer ?

Merci d'avance.

Re : asco sur Carpinus
I consider this impossible to determine without vital characters and a section of the excipulum. Could be a  Mollisia or Pyrenopeziza. The asci are really IKI-? M. caespiticia perhaps, which is more probably a Pyrenopeziza?

Re : asco sur Carpinus
Merci Zotto.

So the round cells of the excipulum seem to me to belong to a banal Mollisia.

Re : asco sur Carpinus
For Mollisia (not "banal" to me...), I have just A. Gminder's key. Is there a newer/updated key?

With just these data, I don't find a specie that could suit.

Re : asco sur Carpinus
There is no newer key, and yes, the spores are a bit small indeed. Bot you need, for instance, the KOH reaction (yellow or not).

Re : asco sur Carpinus
Mollisia is extremely difficult, and it could still be a Pyrenopeziza.

Re : asco sur Carpinus
Is anybody has sequenced Mollisia species ? ITS ?

May be I could sequence it if it could help.

Re : asco sur Carpinus
Ha, surely that would help. But it is a pity if you have studied it only in the dead state. Lots of sequences exist in Mollisia, and they tell that a hundred species exist.

Re : asco sur Carpinus
Yes, unfortunately it was dead... Are Mollisia's ITS sequences accessible somewhere ?

Re : asco sur Carpinus
Many are not uploaded. But for me it is easy to check, I have an alignment with most of them.

Re : asco sur Carpinus
Ok, so if I can have the ITS, could I transfert it to you to have your opinion ?

With pleasure.
