Common Hymenoscyphus
Stefan Jakobsson, 04-08-2019 17:28
Hi,

A hymenoscyphus growing on a twig of Alder on the ground. Apo diameter to 1,5 mm, yellow, short stiped, not reddening. Asci a bit over 100 x 6-8 µ, no croziers it seems. Spores 16-20 x 4-5, with 2(-4) larger droplets and some smaller, inaeqilateral, no setulae observed, biseriate. Paraphyses with refractive VBs.

Some keys give H. virgultorum but the spore apices are apparently too rounded. And calyculus should have croziers - so what is this then?
