Lachnum? Psilachnum?
Filip Fuljer, 19-07-2019 12:34
Filip FuljerHi everyone,

i found 2 days ago some species on old decomposing Equisetum stems.
Can someone help me with this one?
-------------
Spores - elipsoid, 6,2-8,5x1,63-2,47µm, Q=3,59
Hairs - granulated
Asci - 37,4-46,9x4,25-4,9µm, 8-spored, i am not sure about croziers
Paraphyses - 3,83-5,1µm broad, with VBs

A lot thanks with any ideas.
With friendly regards
Filip

Re : Lachnum? Psilachnum?
Hi Filip

this is an interesting collection! A Lachnum indeed, but I am unaware of a species. Croziers are quite sure.

I have no Lachnum on Equisetum in my database. With this character combination it could be L. carneolum (on grasses).

Re : Lachnum? Psilachnum?
Thank you for your help, it was old overgrown pond with some characteristic species for this type of habitat, especially plants like Typha sp., Equisetum sp. and Juncus sp., there was peat bog close, too.

Re : Lachnum? Psilachnum?
It sometimes happens that specialized species jump on an alien substrate in their normal habitat. Of course, this is only a guess here.

Re : Lachnum? Psilachnum?
Hello,
could it be related to Psilachnum equisetinum?

Re : Lachnum? Psilachnum?
Psilachnum  has smooth hairs and elongated VBs, not globose.

Here is Svrcek's drawing of what Velenovsky had.
