Dear forum,
Recently I found a Hypocopra on deer dung with large spherical fruitbodies of 1600x1150µ, with a broad neck, no hairs and uniperitheciate.A small pale coloured clypeus seemed to be present.
Asci were 8-spored, the apical apparatus coloured blue in IKI, a long stalk was present.
Spores were 1-celled 18-20x8.5-10µ and were surrounded by a large sheath. The germ slit was shorter than the sporelenght(12-12.5µ).
Using Krug&Cain, I could not find a match. Anyone has an idea?
Marc
Dear Michel and Peter,
At first I thought that all the spores were one-celled but Jacky Launoy told me that the second cell could be very small and transient. I checked another 100 spores and on 3 I found something that could be a small appendage. What do you think?
Marc
