Cyathicula cyathoidea
Yannick Mourgues, 09-11-2008 22:23
Yannick MourguesBonsoir.

J'ai une récolte de Cyathicula cyathoidea qui me pose question. Certaines spores sont septées. Est-ce normal ?

I thinkl I never saw septate spores in cyathoidea. If you have it in living state please look if you find septate spores also inside the living asci. Overmature spores may often get septate prior to germination, but some Cyathicula species have septate spores inside the living asci.

Are the paraphyses multiguttulate?

Hi Zotto.

I have seen only may be ten septate spores among hundred of them. There is no septate spores inside living asci. Paraphyses are multiguttulate, yes. Hers is a picture of it.

Thank's.

Re:Cyathicula cyathoidea
yes, this seems normal cyathoidea. But this species is an aggregate according to unpublishd DNA analyses, with very little morphological differences among the clades, and rather great morphol. variability, so a much disliked group.
