Anamorph fungus on twig

i found 2 days ago this Anamorph on Quercus rubra or Fagus sylvatica twig.
It looks like black but the conidia are green and measure 15-18 x 10-15 micrometre (4 Measurements).
Any ideas what that could be ?
best regards,
Thorben

Hi Thorben
this reminds me of the genus Epicoccum, but I am not familiar with these fungi.

Epicoccum forms sporodochia - perhaps a Ulocladium or something similar?

You might try Berkleasmium? Here is a recent paper: Asexual-sexual morph connection in the type species of Berkleasmium. Tanney & Miller. IMA Fungus 8(1)99-105. 2017. There are keys by Royal T. Moore and: A synopsis of the genus Berkleasmium... Fungal Diversity. Bussaban et al. that I attached here. These are sporodochia that are often found on Quercus. Best - Jason

I'm not convinced that Thorsten's fungus is sporodochial though - based on what I can see . . .

Hi there,
here are few more pictures.
It was very difficult to see that, but i think the fungus is sporodochial and it looks like the same one as on this pages.

I forgot to write that the conidia are verrucose and i have some dried material.
best regards,

Of course it is Trimmatostroma betulinum . . . . sometimes one forgets the obvious answer.

Hi Chris
I think this is a good idea. T. betulinum seems to be the anamorph of Mollisia fusca, at least in a wide sense, based on available DNA data.
I think the illustation in Ellis & Ellis 1985: fig. 406 fits well. Not really the same seems to be the following because of the smooth conidia (but the finder says "also somewhat rough ornamented"):
