I found this recently in Brooklyn, NYC. These black, partially immersed fruiting bodies are tiny: .2-.5 mm in diameter. They are globose to pyriform and have an apical ostiole. They were growing on well rotted, decorticated hardwood. Asci are IKI- and 62-89 by 7.5-12.5µm. Spores are hyaline, single septate (13) 15-17 (18) by 4.5-6µm. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
