Bon jourfrom La Dame de Chambrille, thick Clematis branch 1.8 m above ground, decorticated, very rotten, soc. Hyalorbilia guttulata (leg. Stip Helleman).
Bitunicate ascomycete with smooth perithecia and muriform hyaline spores *48-50 x 12.5-13.5 µm.
has anybody any idea?

For Pleomassaria I find only two species (in Munk), with brown spores. Can you tell me any literature? Maybe my species gets brown spores when overmature?

I have problems with that genus. The spores of Pleomassaria are brown at maturity, very thick-walled with "ocellate" cell lumina, and a sheath around. Also the perithecia are subperidermal and host- specific. Here my old drawing from DVD (Pleomassaria carpini, HB 1601.jpg). With your key I don't arrive at a good result.

Here images of the asci of the Clematis find, this time in dead state (KOH, KOH + IKI). Asci are 4-8-spored, Dead spores measure 43-55 x 11-13 µm. Perith. 0.3-0.4 mm diam., somewhat conical. The lipid in the spore cells is fused to one globose LB while the cell wall is difficult to see but clearly thin-walled.

I sent my images to Walter Jaklitsch, and he suggested that the collection fits best to Teichosporella cervariensis Sacc. et Berl. (figured in Berlese). But I did not yet see this description. He also mentioned that Macrospora, Pyrenophora, Leptosphaerulina, Wettsteinina, Pseudoplea, etc.

the ascomata of Teichosporella are "apothecioid" according to M.E. Barr, it's why I asked a section to you. Berlese watch of perithecioid ascomata, there is a problem!!
There are numerous features in you collection which fits to this genus, specialy the ascospores but I don't know if it is Teichosporella genus.

Walter suggested the genus Julella as a first place for this cervariensis, a genus which comprises also lichenized taxa.
