Good day everyone on this web,I have problem with determination my collection S. sclerotiorum. I haven't needed bibliography about this genus. I found several collections:
1. 21. 3. 2016, on the dead stems of plants, Thecium 3 - 4 mm diam., medulla 5x1 mm, sclerotium 1,5 - 2 mm large. Excipulum is composite of 22 - 27 x 16 - 22 um cells textura globulosa. Asci cylindric, 8-spore, 118 - 152 x 7,9 - 9,2 um, spores elipsoid, (8,7)9,2 - 13,8(15) x 4,5 - 7,5 um, Q = 2,1. Can by this collection S. sclerotiorum?

Hi Patrik,
if the sclerotia were embedded within a herb stem, another genus (e.g. Botryotinia) might be a better choice in my opinion. Did you browse Zotto's folder of Sclerotiniaceae? https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B5SeyOEkxxZhNFRCWHBfY3h2SW8

Thank you, but I have this Zotto's folder.
if the sclerotia were embedded within a herb stem, this weren´t evident. Good type is for example Botryotinia ficariae, however something morphology characteristic looking to the genus Sclerotinia - Sclerotinia sclerotiorum (for example https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B5SeyOEkxxZhZzZQRUY0ZW4xY1U .

Re : Sclerotinia sclerotiorum and S. ficariae after the second
PS: You will notice, that in Zotto's folder are separated taxa S. sclerotiorum and S. ficariae. S. ficariae is determinated as 'Sclerotinia binucleospora on Ficaria' and also in somewhere literature and web, so that S. ficariae isn´t synonymy of S. sclerotiorum.

Yes, I never said they were (synonymous). And usually I avoid using the name S. ficariae at all. I guess I better stay with operculates which I understand a little bit better. :-)
