very small Scutellinia (2mm) from rotten Maple wood, near Ottawa ontario, 26 October 2016.Spores smooth or very finely ornated, measuring 20-22-12-14u.
Ascus octospored, do not react with Melzer.
Paraphyse with orange content on apice, apex inflated, multiseptated.
Very similar to S setosa, but spores seem slightly larger than what they should normally be for this specie.
Furthermore, is it possible to get a culture of this specie? I would like to get DNA out of it.
