Hyalinia crenatomarginata ?
Adam Polhorský, 04-05-2016 16:27
I´m not very confident about the ID due to the colour change.
Growing on wet rotting decidous wood-  facing ground

Asci:
Crozier +
Spores: 7-9µm filiform, coiled- C, S shaped, couldnt see spore bodies
Paraphyses: slightly capitate, covered with crystalized caps
Excipulum: excipulum consist of globose cells, some up to 18µm in diameter, margin with glassy parts

Thank u for the advice,
Adam

Re : Hyalinia crenatomarginata ?
Yes, clearly Orbilia crenatomarginata.

In the central spore below the bar I think the spore body is visible as a dark region, but your photos are a bit unsharp.

I have a European map on the species and would like to include your sample in it, if you don't mind sending me the location data.

Re : Hyalinia crenatomarginata ?
Thanks Zotto,

i can see it now:) and yes of course here is the data

Loc: Slovakia, Senec, "Martinský les" N48°15.883' E17°22.441' , 149 ms.m,  30.04. 2016

I have few more Orbilias to be processed, so i ll always include the data from now on.

Best regards.

Re : Hyalinia crenatomarginata ?
Good! is it a log or perhaps more a branch?
Adam Polhorský, 04-05-2016 18:01
Re : Hyalinia crenatomarginata ?
Branch, around 6cm diameter, soaked wet, apothecia touching ground. Not sure about the wood, possibly Populus alba
