Je pense ne pas me tromper mais comme je n'ai pas de clé des Encoelia, je souhaiterais confirmation. Sur branchette morte de Salix gr. cinerea en bordure d'étang

a) poils septés, lancéolés à l'extrémité
b) spores ellipsoïdes, subfusiformes à phaséoliformes, microguttulées : 7,5-9x3-4

tres tres bon! Surely you are right. Such lanceolate paraphyses appear a bit untypical, maybe Guy can comment about this. And spores up to 4 µm wide appear to me also quite exceptional. You don't have a consistent magnification so that it would be possible to put a scale in them?

As I mentioned, I measured blindly not knowing what I should see or measure.

I'll watch again the hairs and measure the spores again to get a more objective idea.

My feeling is that your photos are all at the same magnification, or am I wrong? Do you use a zoom? maybe I asked you this already.

I work with a camera ToupCam for a month and a half. Most of the time I shoot at 100x and then after I rework the picture framing when needed. I also changes the size of the image in Photoshop and when I put the photos into different contact sheet, it is true that different pictures of the same elements may be at different scales.

Yes, o.k., but when you take your original photos taken at 1000x I think you could build a scale for them. It is very often fortunate to enable measuring elements from a scale. like here. I would also like to know the size of your tirgescent ascus of E. fimbriata.

simply take a photo of a calibration slide under oil immersion, then you have the scale.

Très belle récolte, j'ignorais l'existence de cette espèce alors j'ai cherché dans ma documentation : Ellis, Grelet, Medardi, ... E.fimbriata n'y est nulle part mentionnée.
Dans quel ouvrage y a-t-il une description de cette espèce ?
Existe-t-il une clé des Encoelia dans laquelle cette espèce est indiquée ?

If you agree I will send you her address by mail. Did you notice any fungal association (this was also a question by Kadri)? The branch was probably still attached? Is it a swamp/bog there at the lake?

I have not found apparent fungal association. Indeed, the willow (Salix cf. cinerea) was still attached to the tree. This is a swampy willow grove bordering a large lake .. You will see on Google Earth where I pointed discovery.
