Nectria on Salix

Hello all, I found a patch of Nectria on a living branch of Salix cinerea in damp woodland - perithecia yellow becoming orange and then red, slightly darker at the apices, the surfaces appearing rough but not strongly warted. Spores were hyaline, 1-septate, (15)17-20 x 7µm.
Using Ellis & Ellis Nectria veuillotiana seemed a good possibilty until I compared the perithecia with those shown here:

Are the ascospores ornamented or smooth?
Your fungus fits better Thelonectria discophora.

Hi Christian - my first reply disappeared so this is the next attempt!
Thank you - the texture and apices of the AscoFrance images of Thelonectria discophora correspond perfectly with what I was seeing down the microscope.
"Are the ascospores ornamented or smooth"
I wasn't quite sure what I should be looking for but have added some images in Cotton Blue.
Attempted images of a perithecia section - fortunately someone has kindly offered to do a 'proper' section for me......

your image (from left) suggests that the ascospores observed in water are spinulose. This characteristic fits well to T. discophora.
