Melomastia mastoidea - 20140517
Lepista Zacarias, 20-05-2014 13:23
Dear all,
I need your help to try to identify what pyrenomycete I found on the branch of a bush. Asci have approximate dimensions of 130 x 7 microns and for the spores obtained the following values ??(using Piximètre):
(14.2) 14.3 - 17.6 (17.7) x 5.1 - 6.35 (6.4) um
Thanks in advance,
zaca

Two septate ascospores in cylindric asci remind Melomastia mastoidea (Fr.) J. Schröt. Other characters that are not reported should be checked in Barr Mycotaxon 51 pp 214-215 (1994)
Cheers,
Jacques

My thanks, Jacques, for the prompt and accurate response.
I have seen the article you mentioned and all the characters seem to match the species proposed: Melomastia mastoidea. Then search for images on the internet and found pages of distinguished participants at this forum, of which leave their addresses:
