Cryptosphaeria eunomia?
Garcia Susana, 02-04-2014 09:46
Hello

I have collected a Diatrypaceae on hardwood.
I believe that this may be Cryptosphaeria eunomia by the presence of the ventral black line, by the growth into the bark, and because the short ostioles emerging separately. The spore size also would agree.

I would like to someone confirme or refute the determination, since I do not have security.

Thanks in advance.

Susana

Hola Susanna,
no doubt it is C. eunomia, if you check the wood it should be Fraxinus.
I attach a photo of a vertical section through a perithecium, with the typical black layer below.
Saludos,
Jacques
