Hymenoscyphus aff imberbis
Miguel Ángel Ribes, 07-03-2014 01:35
Miguel Ãngel RibesGood night

Could this be Hymenoscyphus imberbis with this spore size?
(9.4) 11.2 - 14.1 (16.3) x (4.2) 4.3 - 5.0 (5.2) µm
Q = (1.9) 2.3 - 3.1 (3.7) ; N = 64
Me = 12.7 x 4.7 µm ; Qe = 2.7

Asci IKI + with croziers.
(80.6) 83.6 - 96.5 (102.5) x (6.7) 7.0 - 8.8 (9.1) µm
N = 21; Me = 90.7 x 7.8 µm

Paraphysis filled with small and big VBs.

Ectal excipulum blue with IKI from base to medium side. External cells of ectal excipulum with big and dextrinoid guttules in IKI.

In a Fagus branch inside a river, with a very short stipe.

Thank you

Miguel Á. Ribes

Yes, this seems very typical. Spores are a bit long, but I see such values also in Enrique's specimen Hymenoscyphus imberbis, 17-III-2012-5.JPG

Re : Hymenoscyphus aff imberbis
You can see it in Cubby. Or do you want to restudy it?
