Helotial ?
Garcia Susana, 03-02-2014 10:10
Hi all:

More or less immersed yellow apothecia growing on very deteriorated hardwood. Size  about 500um in diameter.
I do not know that it is. Maybe gelatinopsis, laetinaevia?
Thanks in advance

Susana

Re : Helotial ?
Hi Susana

I would place this  in the Laetinaevia uvidula aggregate, but I never saw an amyloid reaction there. I see a pale but distinct blue at the ascus top on one of your photos. Do you agree? Characteristic are the two large IKI-red glycogen bodies in the spores.

Re : Helotial ?
Hi Zotto

True, an amyloid reaction occurs in the apical wall of the asci. The photograph reflects reality.
