Small cup fungi
Ralph Vandiest, 06-10-2013 23:09
Ralph VandiestHello,

I found these small bright yellow cups & discs on wood from a wetland.  They are up to 1,8mm wide and 1,3 tall. Asci 125/150x7/10, J+, spores 4/5x12/14, incurved and some with 1 sept. Can anybody help me on the way with this one?

regards,

Ralph

Re : Small cup fungi
Hi Ralph

this might have a rather banal solution: Bisporella citrina (now Calycina citrina).

Is the excipulum cartilaginous (gelatinized)?

Hello Zotto,

I have to look again. Now I look fot more pictures on the net it can indeed be B citrina. I just never saw them (or thaught they cold be) cupshaped, just disc-shaped.

Regards,

Ralph
