Ethan CrensonHi all, Another find by a friend yesterday in Bro
Who can give me some enlightenment on this disco:
Substrate: Twig of Abies alba
Macro: Apothecia, up to 1.2 mm diam., nearly black, at first closed , then tearing up. With a frayed, membranaceous margin.
Micro: Asci about 110x10 µm, IKI-, Melzer-, Spores hyaline, 40-61 x 2.5-3.2 µm, nearly always 7 septate (once 8 sept.), paraphyses about 2 µm diameter, acuminate. Excipulum consisting of dark brown, mostly globose, cells. See also photos.
Thanks for any help
Stefan
