Ethan CrensonHello all, A friend found this disco yesterday in

Found on cow dung.
A circular shaped fruitbody (66.75 um radius) with a very large chimney like neck (271.54-39.23 um)
Asci not visible probably 8 spored.
Spores slightly elliptical with one side of the spore flat. Containing 2 large de Bary bubbles. Measuring 21.70-25.25x4.69-5.81 um

What a great found, Joop!
I'm sure, that is Spumatoria longicollis Massee & Salmon!
This species was lost for nearly 100 years, before Peter and me found it in 2000 and 2004!
Have a look at:
"Beiträge zur Kenntnis coprophiler Pilze (1)1_Welt & Heine, ZMykol 72.1, 2006",
pages 27-29.
At the time Nils Lundqvist helped us to determinate!
Best wishes
Norbert

Joop

Is it possible to have a scan of the article on this fungus?
Thank you very much.
Michel

I'll attach our article and the description from Massee & Salmon: Annals of Botany, 1901
Norbert

Bonne soirée.
