Good eveningI have this species from Parador de Mazagon, 15.01.2012 and 12.01.2013, on a small stem, perhaps Ammophila arenaria, 4-6 mm.
Spores (1000x, H2O, live)
(12.8) 14.0 - 16.8 (17.6) x (5.6) 6.0 - 6.8 (7.1) µm
Q = (1.9) 2.1 - 2.7 (2.8) ; N = 82
Me = 15.3 x 6.4 µm ; Qe = 2.4
I would like to confirm it is Rutstroemia maritima and to know nearest species.

Nice photos! The croziers are clearly seen on the 2nd and 3rd of your pics, but not the striking protuberance at the separated asci (which is also present in paludosa) but with less contrast and when still attached. What I miss are crystals in the texture or on the surface. Maybe there are but rather small?
So it is calopus in my opinion. R. paludosa is on Cyperaceae and Juncaceae and has no croziers. R. maritima I do not understand. One collection which I studied named ?maritima had inamyloid asci, croziers, and grew on Ammophila. Maybe this was only an aberrant from of calopus. Dennis reports amyloid asci for maritima.

Yes, now I see some crystals. And nice croziers. What I meant: The two ascus pics before the amyloid ascus apices show two +/- isolated asci with a prominent basal protuberance. This is not a proof for croziers, because it also occurs in paludosa.

The character of croziers is unreported in the literature as far as I know, it was a discovery of my own and was confirmed be rather many records from various people. From the substrate of the type collections I concluded for the two names: Groves & Elliott 1961 say Carex for paludosa, For calopus I do not remember, but someone should have treated it originally on Poaceae.
