Found on dead stems in February earlier this year
I found these black apothecia on much decayed coniferous wood and partly growing over the corticioid Basidiomycete Basidiodendron caesiocinereum. I thought it could be Rhizodiscina lignyota (Fr.) Hafellner but I do not have a good and complete description of this species.
Description: Apothecia dark, almost black, up to 1 mm diameter. No evident margin. Hymenium strongly agglutinated, with greenish epihymenial matter. The complete hymenium coloring diffusely blue in Iodine. Asci difficult to isolate and measure. Spores are 12-14.5 x 4.5-5.5 µm, dark brown, smooth, two-celled, usually cells not equal in size, one somewhat longer. Excipulum with more or less globose cells, dark green to brown or nearly black. The outermost layer with prolonged cells, few forming dark brown, septate, cylindrical hairs.

Danke! Ascos sind bei mir oft nur "Beifang" zu den Corticiaceen, die ich vorwiegend sammle. Freue mich immer, wenn diese dann auch einen Namen kriegen.

es gibt ein paar wenige Beschreibungen, aber nicht so berauschend. ich nehme an du hast Breitenbach & K. verwendet? Hafellner, Butler, Dennis.....
Schau auch mal auf die DVD, hast du die? Müsste unter Dothideomycetes, patellarialiles IKI+ zu finden sein.
Aber das Substrat ist außerordentlich! Ist das auch sicher? Wäre das erste Mal!

Danke für die Hinweise. Die DVD habe ich leider nicht.
Zum Substrat: Es war ein sehr stark zersetztes Brett, das Bestandteil eines ehemaligen Anhängerwagens war. Soweit dies für mich noch beurteilbar war, handelte es sich um Nadelholz, aber ganz sicher ist dies nicht. Der ebenfalls darauf befindliche Basidiomycet Basidiodendron caesiocinereum ist aber auch häufiger auf Nadelholz als auf Laubholz zu finden.

Hier nun noch ein Schnitt durchs Substrat. Ist leider nicht viel verwertbares da, aber für mich sieht dies nach Nadelholz aus. Oder?
Substrat war auf regenabgewandter Seite und nicht auf Erdboden aufliegend und deshalb schon eher ziemlich trocken.
