Hi All.

I recently found on dead stems of Chusquea (Bambusaceae) a fungus with perithecia surrounded by a star-shaped ornament, approximately 0.5 to 0.8 mm. diameter, asci with 8 biseriate ascospores, with a  central, septa, hyaline, elongated, acute apices, 10-12 x 3-5 microns.

I would appreciate your opinion ...

Hi Eduardo,
your fungus is a Bionectriaceae, genus Ijuhya or Hydropisphaera, it would be necessary to know thickness of the lateral wall of the perithecium.
Please, let me know if the ascospores are smooth , spinulose or striate.

Ascospores are apparently smooth, slightly curved, and there are some asci with only 4.
