Scutellinia
Malcolm Greaves, 25-09-2012 19:01
Malcolm GreavesThis Scutellinia was found on soil on a forest track under a lot of tree felling debris.
Apothecia 8mm broad. Ascii 265 x 26.5um Spores globose 19.5 with warts up to 1.6 high. All of this points to S barlae but although the hairs are unbranched or bi-furcate some are up to 560 x 21 which is too long for this species.
Thanks
Malcolm

Re : Scutellinia
Adio Malcolm,

It's probably Scutellinia heterosphaera ( a new species, not published yet).
You have another collection here : http://www.ascofrance.com/search_forum/15605?
with my drawings on spores. Your spores are "typical".
Could you send me one apothecia of this collection ? I will verify and eventually include it in our work.
