Dactylospora stygia
Mauricio Marin, 09-03-2012 13:34
Hi

Collected on tree of shore.
Espora 18-20 (21) x 5
Ascas with meltzer type hood, takes to Dactylospora. The other data resisted with DVD of Baral take to D. stygia to me.

Mauricio.

Dear Mauricio

I think Hafellner book (file in djvu format) helps you.

Re : Dactylospora stygia
Hi Mauricio

A very difficult genus!

This is probably identical with my drawing Dactylospora stygia cf., HB 5734.JPG?

Spore size in Butler 1940 (15-20 x 4-6) seems to support the name D. stygia.

In Hafellner (p. 16) var. stygia has 14-19 x 4-6, and var. tenuispora 11-16 x 2.5-4 (from Venezuela)

That var. stygia is one of the commonest Dactylosporas I cannot believe.

Most of my images (I have a lot since 2005) show much smaller spores (around 9-13 x 4 µm).

On what substrate did you collectd this, and in which region?
?

Re : Dactylospora stygia
Hi

We have several collections, (6) all in the Natural Park of Pagoeta, Aia (Guipuzkoa, Spain) 30TWN6788, on  Alnus glutinous and  Platanus Hispanic in the months of February and March.
Making a compendium of these collections espores goes: 16.80-18.60 (19.60-20.82) x 4.48-5.75. They are not esporada free.
Right now I am espores frees, tomorrow will count something but.
