Green-spored species of Hypocrea
Enrique Rubio,

On Castanea sativa wood I have collected some pulvinate, incarnate, tuberculate, up to 2.5 mm broad, KOH (-) stromata with conspicuous, large and verrucose greenish ascospores.
Close to the stromata there are some Trichoderma with greenish-blue conidiophores and smooth conidia.
Could my fungus be Hypocrea longipilosa Jaklitsch?
Many thanks again
Enrique

Salut Enrique,
oui je pense que c'est ça, Walter nous dira si ce n'est pas cette espèce.
Amitiés,
Chirstian

Re : Green-spored species of Hypocrea
well, yes, principally H. longipilosa is possible. We´ll sequence it, if we get it in culture. Interesting is the peculiar and nice red internal colour.
