Ciliolarina pinicola?
Juuso Äikäs, 27-02-2022 10:27
Yesterday I found a few Ciliolarinas growing on a small branch of Pinus sylvestris that had fallen on the snow.

Paraphyses with a long VB, IKI negative. The outside seemed to have short, brownish hairs. The spores measure 8.6 - 9.5 × 3.7 - 4.3 µm.

I think this would fit C. pinicola, but does it ever have croziers? I think this does, although I'm not entirely sure. All of the sample was consumed, and I only have one pick of the ascus base.

Re : Ciliolarina pinicola?
For the spores yes, but I know C. pinicola only without croziers. Overmature material is problematic to identify.

Re : Ciliolarina pinicola?
Ok, thanks. Yeah, this didn't seem to be in the best condition.
