Bonjour.Encore un Mollisia problématique...
Apothécies récoltées sur petite branche morte d'Alnus viridis ; Ø 1-2 mm, tout blanc, grisonnant un peu à l'état imbu ; KOH 4% = 0 ; subiculum présent.
Asques 72-80 x 6.5-9 µm, avec crozier, IKI + (bb). Spores 14-20 x (2.2) 2.5-3 (4) µm, sans guttule.
Je n'arrive à rien ni avec la clé d'Andreas ni celle de Zotto :-(

The excipulum is brown? Only near the base? No hairs? You don't have a microphoto of the asci and / or spores? Not even petit guttules in the spores?
Was the branch on the moist ground? I have a collection on A. viridis on a still attached branch, with spores Sp. *14-15.5 x 2.8-3 µm, lipid 0. Paraph. KOH-. My documentarion is not good, but the margin is with short hairs.

Macro of this find. There is an abundant subiculum, and the Mollisia grew on bast.

Sorry, my description was a bit short... Yes, the dead small branch was on a wet ground. I just verified for the hairs and they are present at the margin, 45-60 x 4-7 µm. The brown cells of the excipulum are present at the base and on the flanks.
I didn't see any spore with LBs

yes, Nicolas, I agree, it seems quite probable that our two collections belong to T. villosa which was described by Aebi 1972 from a number of collections, exclusively on Alnus viridis. The spores are given as 8-17 x 1.5-2.5 µm, but that difference is probably due to the shrinking effect.
I never used that name so I am happy for this idea. Maybe Andreas can comment on his experience with that species?

I read the original description by Aebi of Tapesia villosa. Now I think this is the species I collected. The only difference is that my paraphyses are a bit wider than given in the diagnosis.
