I am a Ph.D. candidate in fungal taxonomy at Capital Normal University (China), working in Rhytismatales systematics. Through molecular phylogenetic analysis, we hope to determine if Chinese specimens currently identified as L. laricinum are genetically congruent with type-area (European) populations.

? Recent specimens (ideally post-2018, dried or silica-preserved)
? Fresh collections (if currently in season, silica-dried preferred for DNA quality)
Newer collections significantly improve DNA extraction success for precise comparisons.
