Milan MalekHello forum,
could you help me with this asco?
Found on 23.9.2024 in the Czech Republic on dead branch of indeterminate herb, under firs and other trees on stream bank.
Apothecia thin, white, 3 mm in diameter, with a short stipe.
Asci 73-92 x 6-7 um with slightly IKI+ ring, paraphyses 1-2 um wide, spores 9-12,5 x 3-4 um.
Thank you in advance.

Re : White asco
This is difficult to say without vital characteristics. Is the entire excipulum hyaline? at the lower flanks also prismatic?

The apical ring schoul dbe photographed in IKI, the shape might be helpful.

Re : White asco
Thank you very much for aou answer.
Entire excipulum is not hyaline, it is prismatic also in the lower flanks.
I added a photo of the apical ring in IKI.

Re : White asco
Yes, this is Hymenoscyphus-type. Not hyaline means pigmented?

From spore size and shape it could be Hymenoscyphus imberbis?

The living paraphyses are required, they contain characteristic VB-guttules in that species.

Re : White asco
Thank you Hans-Otto for your answer.
I did not see any pigment in excipulum.
