Melastiza carbonicola?
Karl Soler Kinnerbäck, 05-12-2024 16:38
A Melastiza from Padjelanta, alpine Sweden, on calcareous soil (alpine heath), 2024-08.

Sp. 15-18 x 9 (without ornament), with polar protuberances up to 4my. Paraphyses widened at the tip up to 9 my. Hairs plenty, 7-10 wide, up to 150 long.

Im not familiar with M. carbonicola vs M. cornubiensis, help is very appreaciated! Unfortunately no field pics.

Re : Melastiza carbonicola?
Bonjour

J'ai une récolte du 31/01/2023 de Melastiza cornubiensis, trouvé dans un champ, qui semble correspondre
Melastiza carbonicola est sur place à feu ce qui n'est pas votre cas

Bien a vous, Yanick

Re : Melastiza carbonicola?
Hi Yanick,
Thanks for the comparison. In that case I will assume that my collection is M. cornubiensis. Although, I read that M. carbonicola could also be found on unburnt soil?

Best regards
Karl
