These tiny (0.4-0.5 mm diam.), whitish, short-stip
Small, greyish apothecia, approx. 250 µm diam. Slightly tapered, but without an actual stalk. The outside consisting of round (at the bottom) to more elongated cells, ending at the top with long cells rounded at the tip. A few cells appear to end in a hair?. Paraphyses +/- curved at the top, where they are also slightly expanded to approx. 3 µm. Otherwise 2.2-2.4 µm. Asci 8-spored, somewhat thick-walled, club-shaped, J- in lugol, 44-54 x 11-15 µm. Spores 0-1(3) septate, with a sort of sheath around, from which the spores may be released. Some spores seem to be without. Is measured up to 6 µm in width. The spores measure 17.4-20.9 µm.
